A: Yes! Xanga2 is a spiritual successor bringing back the legendary 2000s blogging experience with modern technology. While it's not the original Xanga company, we're recreating everything that made Xanga special - blog rings, mood icons, music players, customizable themes, and that authentic Y2K aesthetic.
A: The original Xanga operated from 1999 to 2017. It struggled to compete with the rise of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, and eventually shut down. Most of the content from the original platform was lost. Xanga2 is a fresh start - a new platform inspired by the original, built from the ground up.
A: Unfortunately, we cannot import posts from the original Xanga as that data is no longer available. However, if you have archived copies of your old posts (from Wayback Machine or personal backups), we're planning to provide tools to help you republish them on Xanga2.
A: Absolutely! Blog rings are a core feature of Xanga2. You'll be able to join themed communities of bloggers, discover new content, and connect with people who share your interests. It's just like the original, but better!
A: Yes! Xanga2 will be free to use with all the core features you remember - blog creation, customization, blog rings, mood icons, and friend networks. We may offer optional premium features in the future, but the classic Xanga experience will always be free.

A: Of course! Every post can have a mood icon showing how you're feeling, and you can specify what music you're listening to. We're also bringing back embedded music players so visitors can hear your favorite songs when they visit your blog.
A: No, Xanga2 is an independent project created by fans of the original Xanga who wanted to bring back that unique blogging experience. We're not affiliated with the original Xanga company or its owners.
A: We're focusing on making the web experience perfect first, but the site is fully mobile-responsive so you can blog on the go. A dedicated mobile app is on our roadmap for the future!
